Motordrive manufacture bespoke competition seats for motorsport in my home county of Lancashire.
Although I am only 17 years-old, I have been around motorsport for as long as I can remember with both my dad, Martin, being a successful driver at national level and my uncle John co-driving for some big names in the World Rally scene back in the 80’s and 90’s.
I’ve been rallying myself since I was 14, starting off in the Junior 1000 Championship driving a Micra and gradually stepping things up. In 2016 I was voted UK Young Rally Driver of the Year at the PMWE show in Cologne – that has definitely been a highlight.
This season I’ve moved up into the world of forest rallying, driving a Group A-spec Ford KA in the BTRDA 1400 series. If I’m honest it’s been a bit of a baptism of fire, but I think the stage times are getting there now!
I am combining my time working at Motordrive with studying on the MSA Academy as a “potentially” elite athlete in motorsport. Being able to combine my studies with working in a motorsport environment is fantastic and I really appreciate the support and flexibility that everyone at Motordrive gives me.
Motordrive, like me, is dedicated to the sport and cares about every aspect of quality and performance. For me, it’s easy to represent the brand when you have 100% faith in the product. I’ve sat in plenty of seats over the years and I can honestly say that my new Motordrive Race seats are head and shoulders above the rest in terms of comfort and style.
